Oxford born, Haxworth studied at the Glasgow School of Art and has exhibited widely in the UK and abroad. Her work has been shown at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and selected touring shows to Ohio, Australia, LA, Denmark and Brussels. She now lives and works from a studio in rural Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
The themes behind her work draw inspiration from landscape and coast lines, using the organic forms found on beaches and patterns found in nature. All the work plays with themes relating to harmony and the fleetingness of time, with composition, colour and light becoming the principle elements.
Her recent landscapes document the movement of light over the land in rural Angus.
