Gillian is one of a group of painters including Michael Morgan and Martin Procter who were greatly influenced by the landscape style of the late Cotswolds artist John Blockley RI. His work boldly examined lonely uplands with a farm or a hamlet.
Gillian has used similar themes to great effect, but creating her own distinctive multimedia style even sometimes including sand from her local Pembrokeshire beach. Her work is beautifully composed and readily transports the viewer to scenes of escapism and relaxation. “Under Milkwood” on canvas. Marine House at Beer specialises in her original paintings.
