Felipe Chavez is a contemporary artist, born in Colombia and now working in London. After discovering a fascination for conceptualism over structures, he withdrew his application for a degree in architecture in order to concentrate on his fine art practice. Self-taught, Felipe draws inspiration from artists such as sculptor Emil Alzamora, and painters Egon Schiele and Marlene Dumas.
In 2019 Felipe was a prize winner for Royal Society of Watercolour Painters Annual Exhibition. His paintings have been exhibited in a number of shows throughout London including ‘The NUDE’, Candid Art Trust, London UK in 2018 The London Coffee Festival’, Coffee Art Project, London UK in the same year.
