Eddie Kang Currently lives and works in South Korea, he obtained a bachelor degree in fine arts from Rhode Island School of Design in 2003. Eddie's artworks are philosophical stories which he creates based on life's reflections he often creates these in a colourfull dream-like fashion.
Eddie's artworks are shaped by his childhood, where he grew up in a large city. Eddie learned that people have mixed feelings towards the competitive and fast-paced environment of city living, and created this series of works to express his desire to escape, his courage to dream, and his ability to think beyond the city life. Often to drawing influence form dreamlike childhood memories using a warm colour palette capturing varying subjects from teddies to the woods and layers them with different distinctive patterns for a more vivid presentation.
Eddie's work has been exhibited globally in major cities worldwide, such as Seoul, Taipei, Shanghai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York, and Venice. Eddie has always been a popular artist among corporate and international brands, he previously worked with Amore Pacific, Paul Smith, Fuji Bike, and many more .
