British artist Carola Colley was born in 1965 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She did a preparatory art course at the Academie Charpentier, Paris, France in 1983-84 followed by a foundation course and BA hons degree in Sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating in 1988. Carola also completed a stone carving course at Tout Quarry, Portland, UK in 1998.
Honours and awards include the sculpture prize, Singer & Friedlander competition, Isle of Man, UK in 1998. Carola is motivated by engaging young people and adults with art and has lead many workshops on the Isle of Man as well as completing a residency with Bamboozle theatre company working with young people with a range of learning difficulties for the Isle of Man Arts Council in 2005.
Throughout her career her work has been exhibited in private galleries and fairs, including Affordable Art Fair, across the UK. Carola's work is held in private and corporate collections worldwide as well as in the Arts Council Collection, Lousa, Portugal and has also been exhibited at Memorial Gallery, Hastings, UK.
