Anita Kaufmann began working as a professional freelance artist in 2003. After six successful years of a great number of national and international sales, she decided to change her life. In 2009, she moved onto a sailing yacht with her husband and two kids. An incredible journey began: 6 years, 30.000 nm / 55.000 km, 28 countries.
During the years at sea, she studied many different cultures and made wonderful friends across the globe. Naturally, her paintings changed from abstract art to human faces.
Kaufmann currently lives and works in her studio in Regensburg, Germany. She is now known for her extra-large, impressive portraits in black and white. Her recent exhibitions include Eclectic Gallery in London and Van Gogh Art Gallery in Madrid.
