Angela Faustina focuses here painting practise on fruit giving each studied a new life by capturing the fruit closeup. These bright and intimate paintings highlight the beauty of life in a bold and energetic way. Angela developed here practise while studying her BA in Fine art and Art History at New College of Florida, Sarasota. Along with this experience, she has worked as a research assistant at the Ringing Museum of Art.
Since here studied Angela has taken part in a number of exhibitions including For the Love of Art PopUp Show, The Brickyard, Marietta, GA in 2018. Her work has also been shown in a number of exhibitions with The Loft, Marietta and gallery43, Roswell.
Angela's work is a study of the natural world taken to a new level, in here close up studies of fruit she plays with size and texture wanting to blur the lines between abstraction and representation, attraction and repulsion, and whimsy and the scientific. This makes the ending imagery feel very familiar to the viewer but also slightly alien.
