Aleksandar Bezinovic

United Kingdom

Croatian artist Aleksandar Bezinovic, born 1975, works mainly in traditional media such as painting and drawing with figurative images as well as minimalism or calligraphy. In 1998 he graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He focuses on abstract acrylic paintings on canvas, mostly monochrome. In this case, the brushstroke of the spontaneous and intuitive painter is formulated through geometric drawing and controlled brush movements, which are translated into a visually minimalist sign. Bezinovic shows his works in solo and group exhibitions as well as in private or public institutions, such as 2018 in the Gallery Center Varazdin (Croatia), 2015 in the Biennale for Contemporary Fine Art in Split (Croatia), 2014 in the Chamber of Crafts in Cologne (Germany) in the Gallery Greta in Zagreb (Croatia), 2012 in the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature in Paris (France), 2011 or 2010 in the MC Gallery in New York (USA).
