Alberto Sanchez grew up in Castilla a small town in Spain and moved to Australia over ten years ago this distance from home taught him that we are identity shaped by place. Alberto has studied advanced Photography in Mexico along with an Apprenticeship Photography with Manuel Blanco in Spain. since then he also took up an Artist residence QUT in Brisbane Australia.
In conjunction with his education and personal development, Alberto has taken part in a wealth of solo and group exhibitions such as Art Context in Miami, 2018 and Border Art Prize, Tweed Regional Gallery in 2018. In 2017 he was a Finalist for the Fomenar Art Prize and in 2011 won 1st prize in photography at the Byron Bay Arts Classic.
Alberto's work aims to make the viewer question their relationship with space and time working with both the urban and natural landscape.
