Everybody loves Snow takes its starting point from Dylan Thomasƒ??s prose work ƒ??A Childƒ??s Christmas in Walesƒ??. Here I am trying to portray a nostalgic scene of fun playing in winter snow. This print has been selected by Norman Ackroyd CBE RA for the prestigious exhibition ƒ??Etching: The Mastersƒ?? which opens at the Bankside Gallery, London in November 2016.
Tim Southall studied Fine Art at Northumbria University and then printmaking at the Royal College of Art and l’école des beaux art, Paris. Based in London for twenty years, he now splits his time between London and his house and studio in the Cadiz Province, southern Spain. The base upon which he builds his work is metaphysics: existence, objects and their properties, space and time, cause and effect, and possibility.
