Young Talent Programme 2014, in collaboration with ION ART

Affordable Art Fair’s Young Talent Programme 2014, in collaboration with ION Art, provided a significant platform for talented young artists between the ages of 18 and 35 to be spotted by galleries and art institutions, as well as to be introduce them to the art-loving public. Our objective was to identify young talents early, providing guidance and commentary on their artistic development. The Programme creates an opportunity for emerging artists to build a strong CV and experience in the art industry and to be in a programme which provides a focal point for contemporary art dealers and their collectors to access fresh artists’ works from the region.

The six selected artists for the Young Talent Programme 2014 were:

  • Khin Thethtar Latt @ Nora (Myanmar)
  • Zun Ei Phyu (Myanmar)
  • Ryf Zaini (Singapore)
  • Zhang Fuming (Singapore)
  • Ezekiel Wong (Singapore)
  • Dan Wong (Singapore)

The Prize
The selected artists won an opportunity to exhibit their works at Affordable Art Fair in November 2014. The winning artists will work with our programme curator, allowing them a year to develop their practice. The solo shows will run concurrently, forming a visual discourse for both artists and audience.
