Young talent programme 2015, in collaboration with ION ART

Level 3, Paddock 2 (Room E)
Affordable Art Fair’s Young Talent Programme 2015, in collaboration with ION Art provides a significant platform for young artists below the age of 35, to be spotted by galleries and art institutions, and be introduced to the art-loving public. Our objective is to identify young talents early, providing guidance and commentary on their artistic development. The programme creates an opportunity for emerging artists to build a strong CV and experience in the art industry, whilst providing a focal point for contemporary art dealers and collectors to access fresh works from the region.

The yearly programme is open to all artists 18 – 35 years old, who are born/resident in South East Asia and who do not currently have gallery representation.

Six to eight young artists were selected to exhibit their work at Affordable Art Fair. Of these,  three artists went on to win the coveted chance of a solo exhibition in August/September 2016 at the ION Art Gallery. The winning artists will work with the programme curator, allowing them a year to develop their practice.
