Education Space & Workshops

Simon Tozer's screen-printing workshops

At the fair you can come along to the Education Space to try your hand at one of our origami or screen-printing workshops and on Sunday there will be a prize winning Treasure Hunt for kids to take park in….with a little help from the grown-ups no doubt!

Workshops are suitable for all ages so take your pick and join in with friends and family. The Education Space is always open, and even when nothing is in session, feel free to get creative and explore your artistic side with lots of lovely Faber-Castell art materials.

All activities operate on a first come first served basis and are fun, informative and best of all FREE!

Workshops from the April 2013 edition of the Fair

FRIDAY
Origami with artist Jessica Hall
2pm in the Education Space

Ever fancied trying our hand at origami? Pop along to the education Space and have a go. A selection of different designs will be taught, great for total beginners. This is most suitable for adults and older children (8+).

SATURDAY & SUNDAY
Screenprinting with artist Simon Tozer
12 – 2pm in the Education Space

An instant introduction to the process of screenprinting, as used most famously by Andy Warhol with his Marilyn Monroe portraits.

Suitable for children (4+) and adults alike.

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times in the Education Space and all aspects of the programme are operated on a first come, first served basis.

SUNDAY
Treasure Hunt – all day!

This is one for the kids! We will be handing out Treasure Hunt clue sheets at the fair entrance to under 12s to fill in while looking around the fair. Then, don’t forget to hand in the completed sheet to a member of staff at the end of your visit.  All correct entries will be entered into a prize draw to win £50 worth of fabulous Faber-Castell art materials and goodies!
